I’m a personal trainer with a great understanding of anatomy and physiology combined with years of invaluable training and fighting experience which in return helps me use that knowledge to design specific training programs for clients.

In the personal training field, I deal with a lot of weight loss clients and people looking to improve overall fitness and strength. I use a combination of resistance training, HIIT(High-intensity interval training) and nutritional advice in a fun but yet hard-working environment. I also do small group personal training as well.

Then in the kickboxing field, my experience fighting is invaluable and I enjoy passing on information to clients in order to better them.  I offer 1 on 1 kickboxing sessions but also will be looking to run seminars in order to do the same on a bigger scale in a class like environment. 

I know it can be difficult to decide what types of training to do in order to achieve your own personal goals but let me help you with that.

1 on 1 Training

The ultimate in personal fitness. 1 on 1 training allows me to carefully monitor your progress in order for you to reach all of your goals. Designing you specific work outs that best suits you, the client.

Group Training

Group training is fun friendly environment for friends to work out together under the guidance of a personal trainer. It's great motivation for continued training.

HIIT/HIT Classes

High intensity interval training mixed with martial arts. These class's were developed from years of pro kickboxing experience to give clients more than just a work out!

Sports Therapy

For all sports prevention and rehabilitation needs. I provide this service in a dedicated therapy section of my gym The Lab.

About Damian Darker

I’m Damian Darker, a personal trainer, professional K1 kickboxer and co-owner of The Lad Performance and Nutrition gym.

Currently, I hold 4 titles in my weight division and that includes 4 title defences. From the age of 4, I have been training in martial arts.

Starting with taekwondo at a young age, I earned a senior black belt. I then transitioned to kickboxing to challenge myself even further.

Conditioning and training was always a big part of my life. So I became a qualified personal trainer and sports therapist. This helped me turn professional in my kickboxing career. This knowledge allows me to be conditioned all year round, so when a fight comes up, I’m ready!

My goal is to pass this knowledge on to my clients. Leaning on my experience to motivate them to reach their goals. In my personal training sessions, I also incorporate kickboxing. Allowing clients to learn kickboxing techniques from a professional fighter.
